Class Descriptions

Danceline Academy is our year round service for specialty classes for dance/drill team preparation, solo and group choreography and critique sessions. Let our professionals create routines for your contest season, football season, spring shows, officer or team tryouts and more. All of our choreographers have received special recognition and awards for their work. Their talent and professionalism are some of the finest in the dance/drill team industry!

We are happy to offer dance/drill team prep classes in many locations across Texas. Call or e-mail us if your are interested in finding a class or setting one up in your location for the spring or fall.

Class Descriptions

Drill Team Prep
7 week class—
Drill/Dance Team Tryouts are coming at the end of March! Get totally prepared with Danceline Drill Prep classes. These classes will help the dancer improve flexibility, jazz technique, splits, kicks, leaps, turns, showmanship and overall performance skills. Our instructors are not only trained in drill team, but are also experienced drill team judges. They will teach dancers what they need to know! Best prices are for entire 7 week period. This class is open to all ages.

Class Schedule
Please note dancers can join at any time during the 7 week period and attend unlimited classes. Each class structure will be similarly based and will cater to the dancers attending that day. They will not be “behind” if they miss a class. Classes are $25 per class or special rates apply if dancers pay for multiple classes up front. No free classes may be attended.

Class Breakdown
20 Minutes—Warmup, stretching, strengthening—Dancers will work toward obtaining flexibility for splits and high kicks and work on proper body placement
20 Minutes—Technique Work—Dancers will focus on improving kick technique and timing, basic jazz skills and style, turns, leaps and jumps for precision dance through center work and movement across the floor.
15 Minutes—Dance Combo & Performance Skills—Dancers will learn 2 or 3 eight counts to practice step memorization, timing and showmanship and performance skills.

Private Lessons
We offer private or small group lessons before or after our regular classes. Fees are $45 per dancer for one hour lesson or $25 per dancer for thirty minute lesson. Sign up and pay for 3 or more lessons and private lesson fee is $35 per hour.
Solo or Group Choreography
All of our instructors are award winning choreographers. We are happy to help you with your choreography for your next event! Prices for solo choreography is $300 for non-Academy and $250 for Danceline Academy students. We need music and payment at least 2 weeks prior to teaching. Choreography fee includes 2 hours of teaching time at Weatherford studio. If we travel to your location a travel fee will apply. Call our office for quotes on groups.
Critic Sessions
Our instructors are all professional judges and offer 30 minute critic sessions for solos or groups. Price is $35 for 30 minute session. Dancers should be prepared to perform routine several times. The instructor will give them constructive advice on improving and work with the dancer (s) on problem areas. This is great preparation for officer tryouts or contest solos. Please schedule at least 2 weeks prior to desired session.
Choreography For Solos And Groups —Two hour class session. Our talented staff will create a routine for your solo or group performance. Choreography is available in jazz, hip hop, lyrical, character, novelty, pom, military, high kick, modern, prop and more! We must have registration at least one month prior to teaching session. Prices are based on number of participants. Call our office for pricing.
