Solo Pre-Qualification Competition

QUALIFICATION PROCESS
Any soloist that placed as a top solo winner in the 2018 Competition Tour season, automatically qualifies to compete in the 2019 National Championship.  All other soloists must compete in the Pre-Qualification Competiton for eligibility to compete at Nationals.

2019 NATIONALS ENTRY FEES
Team participating in 3 or more entries, will receive 2 FREE Admission Packages as part of their general registration.  Any specials or discounts will be added to this number based on date of registration and deposit payment.

Every performer is required to purchase the performer admission package.  This include a one-day park pass to SeaWorld and Catered Lunch.  *Please note that if parents wish to purchase this package, it must be included on the teams registration sheet and will include spectator admission to the National Championships.​​

All packages are purchased upon director registration.  These package orders are non-refundable.
For spectators wanting to register on their own and not with their school a Spectator Admission Packet is available to purchase here for $55 and includes a one-day park pass to SeaWorld, spectator admission to Nationals and a caterd lunch.  This option is best for spectators wish to pay via credit card.  Deadline for Admission is March 12th.  Spectators must be at our 7:30am registration on Saturday morning of contest to pick up tickets.  No exceptions.
For any performer or spectator wishing to attend SeaWorld theme park on Sunday, you can order your one-day park pass.  This order is non-refundable.  Deadline to order is March 12th.

REQUIRED FORMS

Every performer is required to have these two forms signed by their legal guardians in order to participate.  Feel free to download and copy as needed.  All directors are asked to collect these forms from their teams and turn into the Danceline Representative upon check-in at the Nationals Championship.  

Parents & Other Spectators are required to bring the SeaWorld Form with them to the competition.  This form should be collected and turned in by the director as well.

PERFORMANCE AREA DETAILS

All performances will take place on the Sea World Nautilus Stage. It is a large covered black wooden stage.  There will be a black curtain background with black side curtains will be used for team entrances and exits.  Performers are welcome to use this wing area for performance entrances and exits but note that there is one on each side only and no entrances or exits may come from the back due to safety restrictions per the parks request.  It is imporant to note that backstage cross overs are strictly prohibited per the parks request.

ENTRANCE AND EXIT
The dancers will enter from back stage left and exit back stage right.

2019 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION
CLASSIFICATION
Skill classifications will not be consider at this National Championship.  Skill classifications is only considered at the Regional and State Level.

Division changes will be accommodated if written notice is submitted to Danceline office at least one week prior to competition. 

Small Team = 2-19 dancers      
Medium Team = 20-34 dancers
Large Team = 35-49 dancers      
Mega Team = 50+

Studio: Teams that are associated with a privately run dance or performance studio.
School: Teams that are associated with public or private schools.


AGE/GRADE DIVISIONS
Age/Grade division is based on the average grade of team competing.
 
Mascots: Pre- K & K  
Young Juniors: 1st - 3rd Grade  
Juniors: 4th - 6th Grade  
Junior High: 7th - 9th Grade  
Junior Varsity: 9th - 10th Grade  
Varsity/High School: 11th - 12th Grade


CATEGORIES

Solo: Open to all participants. Competitors in the solo division should enter appropriate age division.
Officer: Officers may enter all categories. There is no limit of entries per officer group. 
Team: Teams may enter all categories for competition. There is no limit of entries per team. 

Registration is limited at this event.  Duets, Trios and Ensembles are not offered at this competition.

?How Do I Figure The Size Of My Team
The size of your team should be determined based on the ​ average number of performers for all TEAM routines entered.  Danceline requires that you perform at least 70% of your team for all team routines at any Danceline competition.
 
It is the sole responsibility of the director to register their team for the correct Team size and alert the Danceline office of any changes that occur BEFORE the day of competition.
