This contest is open only to Public and Private School Teams.  
Only half-time performances can be submitted.  
No Pep Rally or Solos Accepted.

CATEGORY OPTIONS
POM

Poms used to create a visually effective, high energy routine, where the focus is on precision and placement.  Poms must be used for at least 75% of the routine.

KICK

Varied kick sequences are performed with an emphasis on kick technique and height.

JAZZ

An upbeat style of dance where the focus is on technical dance skills, precision and dynamic showmanship..

STREAMER JAZZ

An upbeat style of dance where the focus is on technical dance skills, precision and dynamic showmanship with handheld streamers for the full duration of the routine...

NOVELTY

Similar to that of jazz style but based on a character, theater or theme.  This category can included props but should still focus on technical dance skills, precision and dynamic showmanship

PRODUCTION

Performance utilizing staging, props, and/or back drops that extends longer than the 3 minute time limit and generally require set up/strike time that exceeds 1 minute before and after performance.

MILITARY

Style consisting of strong, sharp, linear movements focused on precision and placement.

PROP

Object(s) used the majority of the time to create an effect in a dance routine.

COMPETITION PAYMENTS

All contest fees are non-refundable but can be transferred to another Danceline USA event. Entry fees, Registration and Media Submissions should be received no later than NOV. 18, 2022. If entry fees are not received by Nov. 18, 2022, routines will not be submitted to judging panel for consideration.

REQUEST AN INVOICE

This Virtual contest is registered through a different system than DanceComp Genie so please contact our Accounts Manager, Rhonda at rwdanceline@gmail.com for invoices.  Please allow 3-5 business daysto process requests.

MAKING PAYMENTS

All competition balances can be paid online with credit/debit card through the the invoice or by calling our office at 1-800-94DANCE. Only School Institutions may pay competition fees with a check.  

 

We do not accept Purchase Orders or Personal Checks.  

 

All checks can be made to: Danceline

REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS

  • There are no cancellation refunds once the 10-day countdown before event begins.  A partial credit may be offered on a case by case basis.

  • If Danceline cancels a contest, a full refund will be issued within 30 days or less or a full credit may be given.

  • In the event of an unforeseen natural disaster or involuntary cancellation of the contest date or location, a full credit will be issued to use at another Danceline event in the next two years.

How do I get my awards?

All awards will be mailed to the address on the registration form following the competition.

There is no fee to view.

The awards will be announced once the final performance is played.

Upon registration, you will be asked to provide a digital folder link to your entry/entries.  We highly recommend google or dropbox.

 

Here are the guidelines for filming your best performances:

  • File must be a high quality video format

  • Video in landscape format and not portrait

  • Entire routine must be seen through the entire video

  • Must be filmed so that all performers can be seen

  • Film close enough for technique and showmanship to be visible for the judges

  • Performance should be filmed on a football field to qualify
